OpenELIS was developed for public health laboratories as both an effective laboratory software solution and business process framework. It supports the effective functioning of public health laboratories.
OpenELIS was originally deployed in the US as an open-source product, and has since been adapted by a University of Washington team, which includes the Digital Initiatives Group at I-TECH (DIGI), for deployment in resource-limited settings. OpenELIS Global has been successfully deployed in Haiti and Côte d’Ivoire. Learn more about the background, coverage, and features of OpenELIS Global through DIGI’s OpenELIS Global Overview.
Additionally, DIGI maintains an OpenELIS Global website that includes demos, local implementation blogs, and a link to download the open source code for the product.
